FLYinG wiTh DaDdy

Daddy had his first flight today - his Dollar Ride. He told Mommy he had a good time. I sat with Maw while the doctor scanned Mommy's back and neck. I'm feeling better having survived my first night with an icky bug. I was cranky yesterday, then my poopy turned green. It hurt. After Mommy got off the phone with my doctor, I threw up all over her and myself. I was soaked, but it made my tummy feel better. Today, during my nap, I was thinking how much I wished I could FLY with DaDdy. Hmmm...smiles.

Paran and Me

Paran and Auntie Sharon came to visit today and help us get ready for Gustav. I laughed at Paran: It was my first laugh that wasn't just a quick smirk of gas.

2 Months Old

The pictures are from 8/25/08, but today I had my 2 month shots. I was 8 lbs, 10.4 oz and 21 inches long: Right on target if I was born on my due date (and would be 2weeks old). My head was 14 1/2 inches.

No pictures: This one is just for us.

I've loved Real Simple magazine for years, and for a long time, I've been getting daily quotes sent via email. Some of them I could do without, but once in a while, you get one that has a little substence. Here is today's.
August 20, 2008 "We live in a wonderful world that is full of beauty, charm and adventure. There is no end to the adventures that we can have if only we seek them with our eyes open." — Jawaharlal Nehru

We enjoyed a little family time this morning in Mommy and Daddy's bed, snuggling and watching Baby William stare at the windows on either side of the room. Then, one last bath time with Mommy and Daddy watching him discover his Cow-Duck and the brown shower curtain. For William's baptism, Deacon mentioned that God is letting us borrow William, and He knows when he will go. If it's only for a while, it's time to cherish every moment. The meaning of "it's not the number of breaths you take, but the number of moments that take your breath away" becomes more real.

William's Baptism

Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death:
that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father,
even so we also should walk in newness of life. Romans 6:4

In Southern Louisiana, our God Mothers become Nannies and our God Father's become Parans. Here is William with his Nanny Stacey, Paran Boo Boo, Paw Paw, Maw Maw, Papa, Me-Maw, and Emmy. Oh! Mommy, Daddy, Uncles, Aunts, Taunts, and cousins are in there too. He is the 7th grandchild on Mommy's side (#8 is due in November), and the 12th grandchild (including 1 great-grandchild) on Daddy's side.

Daddy & Paran built a gate for Oli & Ranger

Daddy & Paran built a gate for Oli & Ranger so Mommy & William can go outside. William played inside but longed for the day he can go outside and roll around in the mud with Ranger.
