Last Wednesday, the movers came to pack up our house. They packed all day and came back on Thursday to finish. Casey came down on Friday to get us, and we left on Sunday morning for our trip. Casey and Ranger rode in the truck with the things the movers could not take, and me, William, and Oliver followed in the car with the things we needed for that weekend. Our 5.5 hour drive lasted 10 hours with all of the stops we had to make to sooth William.
.
We filled up the entire 18-wheeler. We are allowed to move 12,000 pounds in the US. Casey took our weight system, BBQ pit, and files ahead of time, and our "house" weighed in at 11,000 pounds. Least to say, we are making a Garage Sale pile as we unpack the boxes, and we've decided we will not be buying anything for the house until after Casey gets out of the military. This stuff will just have to last for a while: If anything, I hope these things make each place we live feel like "home." I wish I had become a minimalist when we first got married.
Here are pictures of William playing with his Daddy at our new home.
